Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will make its prestigious appearance in the esteemed General Exhibit of Tokyo Game Show 2024, marking its first presence in four illustrious years. The official website has unveiled a comprehensive list of companies gracing the convention, and among the remarkable 731 distinguished exhibitors with numerous 3190 booths, Sony stands tall as one of them, with several booths strategically positioned from Halls 1 to 8. While Sony has graced the Tokyo Game Show 2023, their presence was limited to the Demo Play area for their independent game releases. This year, Sony will join the esteemed ranks of Capcom, Konami, and other prominent publishers in the main part of the convention.
It remains veiled what intriguing exhibits Sony plans to showcase, as the PlayStation giant hosted a State of Play presentation last May to announce launches for a multitude of their anticipated 2024 releases, many of which may already have graced the market by the time Tokyo Game Show unfolds. Sony has also previously stated in its recent financial report statements that it has "no plans to release any new major existing franchise titles" before April 2025.
