Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for "Ironheart," the much-anticipated MCU series set to stream on Disney+. Dominique Thorne returns as the titular character Riri Williams, the armored superhero first introduced in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" in 2022. Joining her is Anthony Ramos, who takes on the role of Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer provides an exciting glimpse into what fans can expect from this mini-series, which will delve into Riri Williams' transformation into a prominent superhero, stepping out from her previous supporting role in the MCU.
The trailer suggests a complex relationship between Riri and The Hood, with Parker Robbins initially appearing as a mentor figure to help Riri realize her potential. However, there's an underlying hint that The Hood's intentions might not be entirely benevolent."Ironheart," executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to premiere with three episodes on June 24 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET on Disney+. The series picks up after Riri's adventures in Wakanda, which she humorously refers to as an "internship abroad." Following her expulsion from MIT, The Hood challenges her with the notion that achieving greatness often involves making tough choices: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?"
The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up as Ironheart, taking flight, and executing a dramatic move where she grounds herself to punch a truck, sending it soaring over her head.

On the animation front, "Marvel Zombies," another four-episode mini-series, is set to premiere on October 3. Rounding out the announced series is the live-action "Wonder Man," premiering in December 2025. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will star as Simon Williams, a superpowered actor and a recurring member of the Avengers in the comics. Ben Kingsley will reprise his role as Trevor Slattery, the actor who portrayed the faux Mandarin in "Iron Man 3," and Demetrius Grosse is set to play the Grim Reaper, Simon's villainous brother.
