With DC Studios confirming development of a new Wonder Woman film, fans eagerly await James Gunn's casting decision for the iconic superhero role in DC Universe's reboot.
The speculation surrounding Gunn's DCU choices intensified when eagle-eyed fans noticed his Instagram follow of actress Adria Arjona, sparking rumors about her potential casting.

During an interview with Extra, Gunn humorously addressed whether his social media follows indicate casting choices: "50% chance," he quipped about popular actresses potentially playing Wonder Woman.
Gunn acknowledged Arjona specifically, mentioning their previous collaboration on 2016's The Belko Experiment as the reason for following her. While downplaying casting implications, he intriguingly added, "She'd be a great Wonder Woman," further fueling speculation.
Arjona, known for roles in Emerald City, Good Omens, and Andor, has become a fan-favorite contender despite Gunn's insistence that his Instagram activity shouldn't be overanalyzed.
The DC Universe will launch this month with Superman, followed by Peacemaker Season 2 in August, and Supergirl with Clayface arriving in 2026. Currently, Wonder Woman lacks an official release date.

Here's Gunn's complete statement:
"I followed Adria Arjona on Instagram, but everybody came out, 'He just followed her, that means she's Wonder Woman! That means she's Wonder Woman!'
"She'd be a great Wonder Woman, by the way. But she was in a movie that I made seven years ago. We've been friends and have known each other since that time. I followed her then, I didn't just follow her. People just notice these things all the time."
While Gunn's clarification hasn't dispelled the rumors, DC Studios hasn't confirmed any casting decisions yet. Fans will need to wait for official announcements regarding Wonder Woman's future in the rebooted DC Universe.
