This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the concluding chapter in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, this film was the last Star Wars movie directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.

Fans knew that Revenge of the Sith would depict Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader, but a major plot point was the fate of the other Jedi. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister plot by Palpatine where Clone Troopers turned against and executed the Jedi they had fought alongside during the Clone Wars. With thousands of Jedi in service, it was logical to assume some would evade this purge, beyond the few known survivors from the Original Trilogy.

Among the several dozen Order 66 survivors introduced in canon Star Wars stories, we have ranked the top 10 who have had a significant impact. Some survived only briefly, while others persisted much longer, and in a few cases, their ultimate fate remains undisclosed. All these Jedi lived to fight another day after Palpatine's chilling command, "Execute Order 66."

The criteria for this list include characters who were part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, ranging from Padawans to Jedi Masters and even young Jedi Initiates. This excludes Force-users like Maul and Palpatine, as well as untrained Force wielders such as Jod Na Nawood, who never officially joined the Jedi Order or visited the Jedi Temple.

There was some debate about whether Asajj Ventress should be included. She spent over 20 years with Jedi Ky Narec, who considered her his Padawan on Rattatak. However, Ventress never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, and her later allegiance to the Dark Side under Dooku complicates her status. Hence, she is an honorable mention.
