Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled the exciting lineup for Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2, just in time for the Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23. This event promises to showcase several day-one Game Pass titles, including the much-anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a surprise fourth game yet to be revealed.

The January 2025 Wave 2 lineup kicks off on January 21 with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a thrilling day-one release available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game invites players to master the snowy slopes, either in a group with shared checkpoints or in a high-speed race to the bottom, now featuring up to eight players via cross-platform multiplayer.

On January 22, Game Pass Standard adds Flock (Console), a delightful multiplayer co-op experience where players soar through stunning landscapes to collect adorable flying creatures. That same day, Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering a dynamic and thrilling 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience.

Also on January 22, Game Pass Standard welcomes Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a unique Japanese-inspired single-player action strategy game set on a defiled mountain, and Magical Delicacy (Console), alongside Tchia (Xbox Series X|S) and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console). The day concludes with Starbound (Cloud and Console), which becomes available on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard after its initial PC Game Pass launch.

January 28 marks the arrival of Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one launch. This fantasy adventure from Yellow Brick Games combines magical abilities with powerful weapons in a fight to save the world. Also launching on January 28, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) comes to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering an action-packed, trap-defense game with rogue-lite elements.

On January 29, Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) releases on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, taking players on an emotional journey through surreal dreamscapes. January 30 brings Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one release, focusing on stealth and tactical combat in occupied France.

Closing out the month on January 31, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This sequel to the acclaimed RPG follows an escaped android navigating the Starward Belt. Finally, on February 4, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, set in a vibrant, post-apocalyptic world.

As new titles join the service, several games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 31, 2025. These include Anuchard, Broforce Forever, Darkest Dungeon, Death’s Door, Maquette, and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, all available on Cloud, Console, and PC.
