Mobile Legends Women’s Esports World Cup 2025 Set to Launch

Following one of the most thrilling conclusions at the 2024 Esports World Cup, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) is set to make a spectacular return in Riyadh in July 2025. Last year, Smart Omega Empress etched their name in history by stunningly defeating the long-reigning Team Vitality in the Grand Final, ending their three-year, 24-tournament winning streak.

This year, the stakes are higher than ever, with 16 of the world's top all-women MLBB teams set to compete from July 15th to 19th. The tournament will commence with a double-elimination Group Stage, where all 16 qualified teams will vie for a spot in the top eight. These teams will then advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket, battling for a share of a record-setting $550,000 prize pool, alongside a $10,000 MVP bonus for the tournament's standout player.

The qualifiers for MWI 2025 have expanded, drawing in elite talent from nearly every region. Confirmed participants include DreamMax from the MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers, CFU Serendipity from Queen Legends Season 1, NAVI MY from the MYSG Qualifier, and Falcons Vega MENA from the Carry1st Africa Cup. Additional slots will be filled through ongoing regional events such as BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with qualifiers from China, North America, Mekong, Mongolia, and Türkiye set to conclude soon.

The MWI's return is a key component of the larger Esports World Cup 2025, which unites top clubs across various titles in a unique cross-game format. As the defending champions, Smart Omega Empress will aim to retain their title, but with formidable competition from around the globe, their victory is far from assured.
