Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, launching March 6th, 2025, promises a thrilling update packed with new content. Before the season even begins, players can encounter the Chatacabra on February 28th, marking its debut ahead of its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Season 5 will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the hunt.
This season isn't just about new monsters; it's about improved gameplay. Weapon balance adjustments aim to enhance the viability and enjoyment of every weapon type. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, making it easier to target weak points like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward precise timing with stronger attacks, creating more satisfying combos.
The Guard skill also gets a significant upgrade. Previously offering minimal benefit, higher Guard skill levels will now noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further balance tweaks will be detailed in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
Season 5 addresses a common player frustration: overflowing inventories. An Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item, will provide an additional 250 inventory slots.
A new feature celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary arrives March 17th. This feature allows trading special materials earned through hunts and events for valuable rewards, including Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
