Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, introducing crucial improvements and fixes that enhance gameplay. While this patch focuses on resolving various progression blockers and bugs, it does not include performance enhancements, as detailed in the patch notes below.
Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds continues to receive a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, with many players citing performance issues on PC as their primary concern. Nevertheless, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies within just three days, making it the fastest-selling Capcom game to date. On Steam, it achieved a peak concurrent player count of 1,384,608, surpassing the numbers of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In contrast, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684 players.
Looking ahead, Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive a title update in early April, which will introduce a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting challenges for players to enjoy.
