The charming rural farm life simulation, Morikomori Life, has now launched on Android and iOS platforms, but currently, it's only available in Japan. Published by Realfun Studio, this game marks a new chapter following its initial release in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. Notably, the Chinese version was discontinued approximately a year ago.
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals, which capture the essence of cozy living through anime-inspired, specifically Studio Ghibli-style art. These scenes are reminiscent of the beloved animated movies from Studio Ghibli, not the generic AI-generated art we sometimes see today. The game's 3D toon shading beautifully renders the Japanese landscapes, evoking the warmth and authenticity of the countryside.
In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother. Intrigued, Kaon journeys back to her childhood village, Komori, to reconnect with her roots and explore the tranquil lifestyle she once knew. As you play, you'll rediscover the joys of a peaceful existence in Komori, where the serene environment invites you to slow down and appreciate the beauty around you.
