In related news, Splatoon 3 receives its largest free update yet on June 12. Version 10.0.0 delivers 30 new Barazushi and Emberz weapon kits (the Splatlands Collection), revives the iconic Urchin Underpass stage from Wii U's original Splatoon, and introduces Switch 2-specific enhancements. Players will experience improved graphics and smoother performance across locations like Splatsville and Grand Festival Grounds. Crucially, cross-play remains enabled between Switch and Switch 2 versions.
The update also introduces gameplay innovations: all weapon Freshness caps increase, new Badges become obtainable, and Anarchy Battle (Series) gains a Series Weapon Power stat. This tracks weapon-specific performance metrics, ensuring fair matchmaking whether players experiment with new armaments or compete with mastered weapons.
