The time might be right to define this emerging genre - whether we call it Fall Guys-like or Stumble Guys-inspired. Developers keep putting fresh spins on the formula, from Ninja Party to the upcoming Pudgy Party, which is now accepting pre-registrations!

As you'd expect, Pudgy Party follows the familiar Stumble Guys blueprint. Dozens of waddling penguins race through chaotic courses, tackling challenges while trying not to get left behind (or eliminated).

Of course, these charming tuxedoed characters come with loads of unlockable outfits for personalization. They're based on those wildly popular toys - though I'll admit, like Labubu, this particular craze somehow missed me. But I know some of you are already hyped!

Pudgy Penguins comes from the makers of FIFA Rivals. Knowing it's leveraging an existing brand explains its approach. That said, it doesn't seem to reinvent the wheel - think Stumble Guys with a fresh penguin aesthetic.

That's not necessarily bad news though. If you love adorable arctic birds and want a new take on battle royale madness, consider pre-registering for the iOS/Android launch coming this August.
