Project 007: James Bond Origin Story Game Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts, prepare for an exhilarating journey — IO Interactive has officially announced that their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game will immerse players in a brand new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

In Project 007, players will have the opportunity to "step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," as stated by the developer. This marks an exciting new chapter for fans of the suave spy.

Back in October, IO Interactive's head, Hakan Abrak, shared insights with IGN about crafting this unique origin story for the cherished spy. He emphasized the thrill of creating an original narrative, stating, "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie."

Abrak further elaborated on the vision for Project 007, expressing hopes for it to be the start of a significant trilogy. "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
