Saber Interactive has reassured fans that all its previously announced games are still in active development, despite the lack of updates on major titles like the highly anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. In the wake of announcing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, took to Twitter to affirm the studio's commitment to its projects.
"Saber Interactive stands as one of the largest independent developers globally," Willits stated. "Our portfolio spans numerous games across a variety of genres. Rest assured, every project we've announced remains in development. We'll provide updates on these upcoming games as soon as we have exciting news to share."

The most anticipated project among those mentioned is undoubtedly the KOTOR remake, which has been shrouded in mystery since its announcement in 2021. The project has experienced multiple transitions, appearing to halt and then resume development, yet after four years, it has yet to come to fruition.
In April 2024, Saber Interactive's CEO, Matthew Karch, confirmed that the KOTOR project moved with the studio during its separation from Embracer Group and remains under active development. "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch emphasized at the time. "It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."
Willits' recent statement, almost a year after Karch's, echoes this sentiment, yet the KOTOR remake has not progressed beyond its initial announcement video, leaving fans eager for more concrete updates.
In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive is working on several other titles, including John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival, both slated for release in 2025, though specific dates have not been announced. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender. With the recent addition of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 to their lineup, Saber Interactive continues to expand its diverse game portfolio.
