Star Wars Celebration brought exciting news for fans of the acclaimed anthology series, Star Wars: Visions. The event not only announced that Volume 3 will premiere on October 29, 2025, but also teased a new spin-off series that will expand on the story of The Ninth Jedi, which debuted in Volume 1.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 promises to deliver nine new short films, each brought to life by a different Japanese anime studio. Fans can look forward to contributions from Studio Trigger, known for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, WIT Studio behind Attack on Titan, along with David Production, Kamikaze Douga, ANIMA, Kinema citrus Co., Polygon Pictures, Production I.G., and Project Studio Q. This volume will be available exclusively on Disney+.

Adding to the excitement, Volume 3 will feature continuations of beloved stories from previous volumes. Specifically, fans can expect follow-ups to Kamikaze Douga's The Duel, Kinema citrus Co.'s The Village Bride, and Production I.G.'s The Ninth Jedi.
Speaking at Star Wars Celebration, Kenji Kamiyama, the writer and director behind The Ninth Jedi, revealed that the character Kara's journey will continue in the upcoming spin-off series. This new series will offer more in-depth storytelling within the Star Wars: Visions universe. While details remain scarce, it's confirmed that Kara will reunite with Juro in the 'Child of Hope' episode featured in Volume 3.
