Subway Surfers 13th Anniversary: Tour 21 Cities in 21 Days!

Subway Surfers is gearing up for its 13th Anniversary this month, and SYBO has planned a global celebration that promises to be unforgettable. Starting on May 12th, players will embark on a globe-trotting marathon that will take them through multiple cities around the world.

The Game Is Heading Back to Where It All Began!

The celebration begins in Copenhagen, marking the start of the 13th Anniversary update. This update introduces new content set in the Danish capital and introduces a daily city-hopping challenge. Players will not only run through Copenhagen but will also have the chance to unlock up to 21 other iconic cities including Paris, Rio, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. To progress, players must collect World Tour suitcase tokens in each city to unlock the next destination.

This update also marks the 200th destination in the Subway Surfers World Tour series. Since 2013, the game has been rotating through global locations, and currently, players are exploring Osaka during the Golden Week festivities. Osaka is illuminated with neon lights and offers traditional elements alongside exclusive content. New characters Saru and Oni Hime are introduced here, with Saru available through the Season Challenge and Oni Hime offered in a special deal. Additionally, new social features such as Player Names and Friend Lists are being rolled out, enhancing the community experience.

Originally launched on May 23rd, 2012, Subway Surfers has grown immensely, boasting 150 million monthly players and over four billion downloads globally. As it celebrates its 13th year after visiting 199 cities, the game continues to successfully connect players through its vibrant portrayal of local landscapes.

From May 12th to June 1st, players can dive into bonus content featuring two new travel-themed characters, Loc and Stevie, along with new outfits, hoverboards, and a host of rewards to collect.
