The highly anticipated pre-alpha playtest for The Hidden Ones, the action brawler based on the popular Hitori No Shita: The Outcast universe, has been rescheduled. Originally slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have announced a new launch date of February 27th, 2025. This two-month delay allows the developers additional time for refinement and optimization to ensure a superior player experience. The announcement was made via the game's official website, where further details can be found.

A Deep Dive into The Hidden Ones

Blending Eastern philosophies like Taoism and Yin Yang with modern martial arts, The Hidden Ones plunges players into a cinematic narrative centered around the lives of the Outcasts. The game emphasizes character mastery, understanding their unique philosophies and abilities.

Players will navigate multiple levels, facing increasingly difficult bosses, each representing a chapter in the game's rich martial arts saga. These bosses evolve alongside the player's progression.

Multiple game modes are available, including a competitive Duel mode featuring intense player-versus-player combat and an innovative action roulette mechanic that allows players to temporarily acquire the skills of other characters mid-battle. A challenging Trial mode offers a gauntlet of epic boss fights, demanding mastery of diverse characters and fighting styles for survival.
