Terminator 2D: No Fate Delayed Again, This Time to December As Team Needs Time To Assemble Physical Editions

Terminator 2D: No Fate — the new retro-style game that combines iconic scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with original storylines and branching endings — has been postponed for the third time, now set for December 12, 2025.

In Terminator 2D: No Fate, you take on the roles of Sarah Connor and the T-800 as you race to dismantle Skynet’s plans before humanity is erased. The game is launching on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and last-generation consoles. It was originally planned for September 5, then moved to late October, then November 26, and now again.

Last time, publisher Reef Entertainment explained the delay from the original October 31 date was due to “ongoing global trade and tariff changes that delayed shipment of components for our Day One and Collector’s Editions.” While the physical components for all editions have now “finally arrived,” the team needs “some time” to finalize production. Even though this issue only affects physical copies, Reef confirmed the delay applies to digital versions as well.

"First of all, we want to start by saying thank you. We know you’ve waited longer than expected for the release of Terminator 2D: No Fate, and we truly appreciate your patience and support throughout this journey," the team said. "The physical components for all editions have now finally arrived, following the ongoing delays that pushed us off our previous schedules. However, we now have to assemble the physical editions, which we need some time to do.

"Because of this, we are moving the launch date of Terminator 2D: No Fate to December 12, 2025, for all physical and digital versions of the game.

"We are sincerely sorry for the repeated delays. We don’t take your patience for granted, and we never want to disappoint our community. Our goal has always been to deliver the game that you deserve, and we're almost there. Thank you again for standing by us."
