Xbox Game Pass May 2025 Wave 1 Games Revealed

Microsoft has announced the exciting lineup for Wave 1 of the Xbox Game Pass for May 2025, revealing a total of 12 new games joining the service through May 20. The spotlight is undoubtedly on Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in id Software's renowned first-person shooter franchise, which will launch day-one on Game Pass due to its status as a Microsoft-owned title. However, it's not the only game set for a day-one release this month.

Starting today, May 6, subscribers can dive into Dredge (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), accessible through Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Here's what Microsoft has to say about it:

On May 7, Game Pass will see a flurry of new additions, including Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard; Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) joining Game Pass Standard; Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) now on Game Pass Standard; and Metal Slug Tactics (Console), also available on Game Pass Standard.

May 8 brings Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one release. Here's a glimpse into the game's premise:
