Solve the "Fountain of Confession" Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This guide details how to conquer the intricate Fountain of Confession puzzle within the Vatican section of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, unlocking the secrets of the giants. Remember to photograph all clues (statues, murals, inscriptions) for Adventure Points!

Accessing the Puzzle:

After completing the Sacred Wounds puzzle, use your journal's map to locate the Fountain of Confession in the exterior courtyard. You'll find it near a set of stairs, accessible from Antonio's office.

Stage 1: The Dragon Statues:

1. Locate a chest near the fountain's construction area. It contains the fountain key.
2. Use the key to enter the storage room adjacent to the fountain.
3. Employ Indy's whip to rappel to the roof and swing to the fountain's upper level.
4. You'll see two dragon statues. Swing to the second statue and interact with its protruding claw to activate a lever.
5. Manipulate the lever to rotate the statue, aligning it face-to-face with the opposite dragon. Repeat for the other statue. You'll discover one claw is missing.
6. Locate the missing claw on the scaffolding below. A cutscene will ensue.
7. Retrieve the claw and return to the statues. Insert the claw and rotate the statue to face its counterpart. The fountain's central statue will rotate.

Stage 2: The Blocked Gate:

1. Use Indy's whip to pull the rotated fountain statue, revealing a gate blocked by three statues.
2. A lever appears on the fountain. Indy and Gina will activate it together, presenting the first wall puzzle.

Stage 3: Wall Puzzles:

• Puzzle 1 (Baptism): Position the larger male statue under the water bucket. Activate the water mechanism with your whip, then push the statue towards the smaller statue to "baptize" it. This moves one blocking statue.

• Puzzle 2 (Angel): Manipulate the stone path layers using Indy’s whip to guide the angel figure to the right side of the wall. This moves the second blocking statue.

• Final Step: Push the remaining central statue through the now-open gate to reveal a spiral staircase.
