A minimalist non-field RPG: Escape the cursed forest!
Prologue: You're the village's best hunter, heading to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. Upon waking after your first night camping, you discover something unsettling: the campsite, once bustling with hunters, is deserted. National guards oversee the tournament, yet no one is in sight. Attempting to return to the starting point, you realize you're lost, trapped in a strangely disorienting forest. This is no ordinary predicament.
The Elven Curse: Aided by Foria, a peculiar quarter-elf, you must escape this cursed forest. Gameplay is exceptionally straightforward, utilizing a maximum of three buttons outside the main menu.
Character Creation: While character customization is limited, you can freely re-roll your stats. Status increase rates upon leveling are only visible on this screen, not during gameplay. Losing all life force results in character death; keep at least two talismans on hand.
Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf: A seemingly young quarter-elf who claims to be older than you. He secretly assists your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.
Game World & Narrative: The prologue unfolds like a visual story, with Foria's dialogue maintaining a cheerful tone. The game's worldview is conveyed through understated, evocative language.
Exploration: Progress through the forest by exploring unexplored areas. Exploration success is determined by "fog depth," influenced by your character stats. If your life force is depleted, utilize poison or rare talismans to recover, or return to Foria.
Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles: Fierce creatures roam the forest, from wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides for trading with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, battles are optional and don't grant experience. The goal is escape, not combat. As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow. Maintain distance to attack safely; closing the gap risks a one-sided assault. You can choose to withdraw or use a flash ball provided by Foria to escape.
Cloak System: Craft cloaks from gathered materials (branches, resin, leather) to enhance your abilities. Up to three layers can be worn, cumulatively boosting stats. Cloaks can also restore vitality, but they degrade and eventually tear. The bow and arrow remain unchanged.
Game Features: This is a game focused on the experience of playing, emphasizing strategic thinking, skill, luck, and resource management (crafting and alchemy). It's a game where preparation is key, and progress is possible even with a relaxed playstyle.
Auto-Save: The game features an auto-save, but the timing is not comprehensive (e.g., not during battles). For crucial saves, exit to the main menu before closing the app.
