In 2025, World of Warcraft enthusiasts can look forward to the much-anticipated housing system, with Blizzard unveiling the initial details. The developers assure that homes will be accessible to all players, eliminating complex prerequisites, exorbitant costs, or lottery systems. Moreover, homes won't be confiscated for lapses in subscription, ensuring a worry-free experience. The comprehensive rollout of this housing content is slated for the Midnight expansion.
Upon launch, players will have the opportunity to select their plot in one of two designated zones: Alliance players can opt for a location in Elwynn Forest, which will feature elements from Westfall and Duskwood, while Horde players can choose Durotar, enriched with elements from Azshara and the Durotar coastline.
Each zone will be segmented into districts, with each district housing approximately 50 residences. Players will have the flexibility to settle in either open areas or form private communities alongside friends and guildmates. Blizzard promises an extensive array of decoration options for personalizing your space, with the majority accessible in-game, and a select few available through the in-game shop.
Blizzard underscores that the housing system is designed with three core principles in mind: extensive customization, fostering social interactions, and ensuring longevity. The developers are committed to providing further insights into the housing system in the future and currently invite players to share their feedback and ideas.
