The Witcher 3, while critically acclaimed, wasn't perfect. Its combat system, in particular, drew criticism from fans.
In a recent interview, Witcher 4's game director, Sebastian Kalemba, acknowledged weaknesses in the previous game's gameplay. He highlighted combat and monster hunting as areas demanding significant upgrades. "We want to improve the gameplay and the monster hunting experience," he stated.
Kalemba emphasized that the Witcher 4 trailer should showcase the power and intensity of monster battles, focusing on improved choreography and emotional impact.
Witcher 4 promises a revamped combat system. CD Projekt Red recognizes past shortcomings and aims to address them, benefiting not only this title but also future installments featuring Ciri as the protagonist of a new trilogy.
Interestingly, developers plan to incorporate Triss's wedding into the game. In Witcher 3, the "Ashen Marriage" quest, originally set in Novigrad, saw Triss developing feelings for Castello and wishing to marry him quickly. Geralt assisted with preparations, including monster extermination, procuring alcohol, and choosing a wedding gift.
