Donkey Kong Bananza has barely been on shelves for a week, yet one determined player has already conquered the game without collecting a single banana.
AKfamilyhome shared their impressive feat on X/Twitter, stating: "Just completed Donkey Kong Bananza with zero bananas. Surprisingly enjoyable challenge—recommend trying it as a New Game+ run after full completion."
What makes this achievement remarkable is AKfamilyhome accomplished it entirely glitch-free—no exploits or shortcuts. They simply avoided collecting bananas, which meant permanently missing out on health upgrades and ability improvements tied to skill points.
"I skipped Zebra Bananza and never unlocked the ostrich glide," they explained. "Some sections require creative movement, but overall it's manageable early on. The late game becomes intense though—some bosses can one-shot you."
They hinted at hidden content: "No special dialogue for zero bananas, but there is unique commentary if you avoid collecting any Bananzas completely."

Honestly a fun challenge I recommended doing as a NG+ run after 100% pic.twitter.com/ZM1S82gkb4
