LEGO CEO Niels Christiansen has announced ambitious plans to enhance the company's footprint in the digital realm by venturing into video game development. This strategy involves both in-house projects and collaborations with other developers, ensuring the LEGO brand continues to captivate audiences across various platforms.
"We are confident that, as long as we operate under the LEGO brand, we aim to create experiences for children of all ages across both digital and physical platforms. Developing games internally is something we are actively pursuing." Niels Christiansen
This expansion into video games does not signal an end to LEGO's collaborations with third-party developers. Just last month, journalist Jason Schreier revealed that TT Games, renowned for its LEGO-themed titles, is currently developing a new LEGO game, possibly connected to one of Warner Bros.' franchises.

LEGO's most notable gaming endeavor to date is its collaboration with Epic Games. The introduction of a LEGO-themed mode in Fortnite last year proved to be an immense success, quickly becoming one of the game's most beloved features.
Over the past two decades, LEGO has been closely associated with the adventure game series developed by TT Games. Although recent updates on new projects have been scarce, there are whispers of a new LEGO Harry Potter game in development, buoyed by the commercial success of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Furthermore, LEGO's partnership with 2K Games resulted in the release of LEGO 2K Drive, a racing game that hit the market last year, demonstrating the brand's adaptability and appeal within the gaming sector.
