Norman Reedus Eager to Play Himself in Death Stranding 2 Movie

Death Stranding fans, brace yourselves for an exciting update! The highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated to hit the shelves in June 2025. The franchise's lead, actor Norman Reedus, recently shared some tantalizing details about the game and hinted at the future film adaptation during an interview with IGN.

When asked about the possibility of playing himself in the upcoming film version, which is being developed by Michael Sarnoski and A24, Reedus enthusiastically responded, "If it was an option, yeah, for sure. I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course."

Reedus also touched on his initial confusion with the first game and whether that persisted into the sequel. He expressed deep trust in the game's creator, Hideo Kojima, acknowledging Kojima's unique vision. "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at," Reedus noted. "He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to."

Despite the complexity of the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains enthusiastic about his involvement. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he shared with IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."
