Hank's Back: King of the Hill Revival Debuts August

Mike Judge and Greg Daniels' King of the Hill revival has shared its first glimpse with an updated time-lapse intro sequence, alongside confirmation of an August 4 premiere on Hulu and Disney+.

The official X/Twitter account today revealed what appears to be the complete opening credits for the first new King of the Hill episodes since 2010. The Texas family has visibly aged, with the teaser showing Hank, Peggy and Bobby moving away from - and eventually returning to - their beloved Arlen.

According to Hulu's official description: "After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to save for retirement, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a transformed Arlen to reconnect with friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby pursues his culinary dreams in Dallas while navigating his twenties with former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane."

While the updated intro hints at an older Bobby and Dale's mayoral ambitions, details about the revival's overall storyline remain limited. First reported by THR in 2022 before Hulu secured streaming rights, the revival - eventually confirmed as Season 14 in 2023 - was known to feature a significant time jump from the original series' conclusion.

The animated revival brings back most original cast members including Mike Judge as Hank Hill, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill, Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill, and Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive. Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble, recorded some material before his passing in August 2023 at age 64.

Fans can return to Arlen's familiar picket fence this August. For those eager for more, another preview featuring an older Bobby was released late last year.
