Deadlock Receives Massive Overhaul with Three-Lane Map Redesign
Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core gameplay with a significant map redesign. The four-lane structure has been replaced with a three-lane layout, bringing the game more in line with traditional MOBA conventions.
This change dramatically alters gameplay strategies. The previous "1 vs 2" lane distribution is obsolete; teams will now need to adjust their resource allocation, likely deploying two heroes per lane. This necessitates a re-evaluation of team compositions and tactical approaches.

The map's neutral camps, buffs, and other elements have also been repositioned to complement the new three-lane structure. To aid players in adapting to the changes, a new "map exploration" mode has been added, allowing players to freely explore the map without encountering enemies or allies.
Beyond the map, the Soul Orb system has been tweaked. Players can now accumulate souls even without delivering the final blow, accelerating resource gathering. Soul effects have also been refined, reducing their air-hover duration.
Further improvements include adjustments to sprint mechanics and character balance, alongside enhanced performance and bug fixes. The patch also adds support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 technologies. For a complete list of changes, consult the official patch notes.
