inZOI has surpassed 1 million copies sold within its first week, according to developer and publisher Krafton. This marks the fastest sales milestone in the South Korean company's history.

The Sims competitor launched in Early Access via Steam on March 28, quickly gaining attention when players discovered they could run over child characters - a feature Krafton later patched out, calling it an "unintended bug."

Strong Launch Performance

Despite early controversies, inZOI maintains a 'Very Positive' Steam rating and peaked at 175,000 concurrent Twitch viewers shortly after launch. The game topped Steam's Global Top Sellers list by revenue just 40 minutes post-release.

Krafton's in-game UGC platform Canvas saw explosive adoption with:

  • 1.2 million platform participants on launch day
  • Over 470,000 pieces of user-generated content uploaded

Early Reception and Future Plans

IGN's Early Access review scored inZOI 6/10, praising its visual style while noting current limitations in gameplay depth.

Krafton emphasized its pre-launch marketing and community engagement contributed significantly to the strong debut. The global showcase and demo builds reportedly generated particularly high interest.

CEO CH Kim stated: "We're excited to introduce inZOI worldwide through Early Access and will continue player communication to develop this into a long-term franchise."

What's Coming Next

Krafton has outlined its roadmap including:

  • Free content updates before full release
  • New cities and mod support
  • April hotfixes addressing player-reported issues

The publisher acknowledged challenges in scaling community management, calling the global response "a next-level experience" that requires adjusted communication strategies.
